Mineral Resources
Several mineral resources can be found in the city and some of the deposits have not yet been developed/exploited. Metallic mineral like gold and non-metallic mineral are deposited on the mountainous area of Barangays Sto. Dominga and Cumba, respectively, likewise, red clay can be found in Barangay Libjo which is suitable for making construction material like bricks, tiles and ceramics.
Furthermore, saltbeds originally existed abundantly in the areas of Barangay Sta. Clara and Malitam but rapid urbanization likewise resulted to the end of this activity.
