Population
For the year 1997, the projected population of Batangas City based from the National Statistics Office (NSO) is 222,950 with a growth rate of 2.6%. by refering to able 1, it can be noted that Brgy. Sta. Rita Karsada has the highest population of 11,599 10.20% while Brgy. 16, an urban barangay has the lowest population of 140 or 0.063% the total population of the city.
